Orthopedic, spine and pain practices

Usually the largest source of therapy referrals. Who decides is the surgeon or physician, with the practice manager and the medical assistants who send the therapy orders.

Three places to start

Start with the independents

FamilyFirst Medicine, Darnell Podiatry and Body-Mind-Spirit Podiatric Center are each within five minutes of your Ashland clinic, and Roberts and Roberts, Wheelersburg Medical Associates and Portsmouth Foot Care sit beside your Portsmouth and Wheelersburg clinics. None is part of a health system, so the doctor decides where therapy goes. A short visit to each office manager with your evening and Saturday hours gives them an easy answer when a patient asks.

Get on the hospitals' home therapy lists

Most of the specialists here belong to UK King's Daughters, SOMC or Marshall Health Network, and those systems run their own therapy. Your Right To Choose page already makes the point that a patient can pick Premier. Ask each hospital's case management office how patients are offered a choice of outpatient therapy near home, and make sure your nine clinics are on that list.

Lead with what only you offer

Your site says Premier is the only provider in the region offering PRRT, and it lists aquatic therapy at three clinics plus care for incontinence and foot pain. Each gives a reason to call one office: the spine and pain practices about PRRT, the women's care offices about incontinence, the podiatrists about foot pain, and the CHH occupational medicine team about your Worx clinic.
